Travis Long, the founder and co-owner of Rogue Safety Works, is a former fire chief with over 25 years of experience in construction. He understands firsthand that a strong safety program does more than satisfy regulations—it makes sense in the field, earns the trust of the crew, and helps everyone get home safe.
Throughout his career, Travis has led teams in high-risk environments where preparation, clear communication, and calm decision-making are essential. He brings real-world perspective to construction companies, project managers, fire departments, and public-safety organizations throughout California.
Known for his straightforward, approachable teaching style, Travis connects just as comfortably with field crews as he does with project executives and command staff. His goal is never to lecture or complicate the work. It is to identify risks, solve problems, strengthen teams, and build a safety culture people genuinely want to be part of.
For Travis, safety is personal. It means protecting the people doing the work, supporting the leaders responsible for them, and helping organizations prepare for the moments when experience and sound judgment matter most.
